The Chevelle was Chevy's entry into the muscle car era. Chevelle enthusiasts wanted a sleek looking sport sedan, coupe, or even a station wagon, with a hot small block power plant. The 327.
In 1971 and into 1972, the base model Chevelle was offered as the "heavy chevy" model featuring special appearance options. The "heavy chevy" was an option to all V8 engines, they range from 307 two-barrel to the 402 four-barrel. The only exception was the 454 big block V8 wasn't available with the "heavy chevy". These were only offered in the "SS" package. Check out this website on the Chevelles.

Pontiac GTO
The Pontiac GTO, was first created in 1964. I would prefure to have a 1965 Pontiac GTO Coupe. It is often considered the first true muscle car. From 1964 until midway through 1973, it was closely related to the Pontiac Tempest, but for its final year it was based on the Pontiac Ventura. The GTO was technically a violation of GM policy limiting the A-body intermediate line to a maximum engine displacement of 330 (5.4 L). So this car is the Billy Bad Ass of American Muscle. The 389 engine had revised cylinder heads with re-cored intake passages, improving breathing. Rated power increased to 335 hp @ 5,000 rpm for the base 4—barrel engine; the Tri-Power was rated 360 hp @ 5,200 rpm. Whoa.

The Chevy Nova
The Chevy Nova is one of the affordable compact cars that also packed a punch. The Chevy Nova was a compact car that could act like the family minivan, the families sports car, and the family puddle jumper. This car is also famous on the race track, I know they can perform because a friend of mine races them. This site is just like the one set up to explain what the Dodge Charger is like. Check it out.

This is a website to examine the history of the Dodge Charger. A car famous for its classic curves and world breaking performance. This site will tell you how the evolves though out the sixties and seventies. I thought that this website was very informational, and interesting to look at. Check this out and let me know what you think, or if you have one. Personally I would kill to own a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T with the 440 magnum six pack.
